Patient Advocacy

At Franciscan Children’s, we prioritize family-centered care for every patient under our care and their family. While all staff members advocate for our patients, we have a dedicated patient advocate whose primary role is to address any concerns from patients and families.

Our patient advocate is a skilled professional who serves as a bridge between patients, their families, and healthcare providers and offers various services that help patients navigate the healthcare system. This includes assisting patients in accessing healthcare, managing insurance matters, and clarifying treatment plan options. The patient advocate also addresses patient and family feedback and concerns in compliance with regulations set by The Joint Commission, Department of Public Health, Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, and Department of Mental Health.

At Franciscan Children’s, our patient advocate also monitors and analyzes expressed concerns, including survey responses. This ongoing review helps us continually enhance our services for
all patients, families, and the healthcare community.

Our patient advocate is available to guide you and your family throughout your child’s stay at Franciscan Children’s. You can contact the patient advocate daily at 617-254-3800, ext. 7723, or during off-hours at 617-992-1470.
