The Interpreter Services Department at Franciscan Children's is dedicated to providing essential linguistic and cultural support to individuals and their families with limited English proficiency. Our team of professional interpreters is readily accessible across all our clinical facilities and programs, ensuring the delivery of clear and precise communication in your preferred language, including but not limited to American Sign Language. Notably, there are no additional fees associated with this service.

Our interpreters possess a high level of proficiency in the areas of interpretation, ethics, and medical terminology, enabling them to facilitate the exchange of information with the utmost accuracy and professionalism. Upholding a strict commitment to confidentiality and impartiality, our interpreters are a consistent presence during medical outpatient appointments, inpatient interactions and educational programs. They also extend their support to families, aiding them in comprehending both our healthcare institution and the broader U.S. healthcare system.

For your convenience, Interpreter Services are available around the clock in person, via telephone, or through video conferencing. Standard service hours are from 8:30 a.m. -5 p.m., Monday through Friday. We can accommodate scheduling beyond these hours with advance notice.
