Seventeen-year-old Evonne suffered a spinal cord injury while on vacation with her family in Puerto Rico. After returning to Massachusetts and undergoing spinal surgery, she came to Franciscan Children’s in June 2022 for rehabilitation. When Evonne arrived, she was almost fully paralyzed and unable to sit up on her own. Thanks to her hard work and the help of her team, she is now able to walk independently.
